Our last Chapter meeting for 2015 before the summer break is scheduled for Monday, May 4 at the Whole Hog Café, Fiesta Square Shopping Center in Fayetteville.
Guest speakers are John Sturgis, Michael Wingo, Brian Kick and Ron Blackwelder, who are the project leaders for TU Chapter 514’s upcoming Bonneville Cutthroat Trout Egg Planting project in the tailwaters of Beaver Dam. Speakers will present an overview of the project, including a detailed action plan and timetable from start to projected planting date in mid-June. Presentations will cover the process of coordinating with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, species selection, egg procurement, egg planting location selection criteria and priorities, planting site preparation, habitat enhancement, assembly and deployment of the Whitlock-Vibert egg incubation boxes, as well as answers to any questions regarding "your" Chapter 514 key project and your involvement in this historic project in our home waters.
Dinner and social time are from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by the program from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
